  10. 1. WHAT IS IDYLE TRAY MINIMIZER ?
  11.    ------------------------------

  13.     Ever tired up of those app that were designed for Windows
  14.   3.1 and would be very cool to have in the tray? Ever asked
  15.   yourself why the programmer of this app didn't put the option
  16.   to minimize to the tray, because you are using often enough
  17.   and would like it?
  18.   Well, now, the choice is all *yours*. Idyle TrayMinimizer
  19.   will execute an application (.exe, .com, .lnk or .bat) and give
  20.   it the ability to minimize to the tray it didn't have before!
  21.   It will be minimized using the progam's main icon, and its
  22.   main window name. Really as if it was natively minimized!!
  23.   Try the examples in 'Idyle TrayMinimizer' folder in the Start
  24.   Menu after installation, and see for your self.

  26.   Oh! By the way, did I mention it? Idyle TrayMinimizer is
  27.   totally *free* of use, so why not use it ?!

  30. 2. WHAT APPS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH TRAY MINIMIZER ?

  33.     Well, I couldn't put an exhaustive list of all apps, but so
  34.   far, *many* (in fact, all but one) have worked no problems, 
  35.   including big boys like MS Word. 
  36.   There is one I know of who won't work, it's Internet Explorer
  37.   4.0 (beta). As this one is more integrated in the system,
  38.   it can't be controled as the others are.

  41. 3. HOW TO USE IDYLE TRAY MINIMIZER
  42.    -------------------------------

  44.     To use Idyle TrayMinimizer, you only have to launch it with
  45.   the filename of the program to launch, and its parameters.
  46.   For example, to create a trayed 'Dos Prompt', you'd launch
  47.   that with this command:

  49.     > TrayMinimizer C:\Command.Com
  50.  
  51.   To launch a trayed notepad, you'd do that:
  52.  
  53.     > TrayMinimizer C:\Windows\Notepad.Exe "C:\Program Files\MyDoc.Txt"

  55.   Please note that the complete path to the application must be
  56.   included. You can also put as many parameters as you wish.
  57.   Since it can be long to type all this all the time, you would
  58.   want to create shortcuts to your most favorite now-trayed 
  59.   apps, for example, create a shortcut with this properties in
  60.   your Startup folder:

  62.       Target:    C:\Idyle TrayMinimizer\TrayMinimizer.Exe C:\Command.Com

  64.   Another useful way is to create a TrayMinimizer shortcut on your
  65.   desktop, and drag-and-drop programs/shortcuts on its icon.

  70. 4. REQUIREMENTS
  71.    ------------

  73.     To use Idyle TrayMinimizer, you need a machine on which
  74.   Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 is installed. The program takes
  75.   very little space, so you'll only need about 400kb of free
  76.   hard disk space.

  79. 5. INSTALLATION
  80.    ------------

  82.     To install Idyle TrayMinimizer, just double click on the
  83.   file 'itmsetup.exe' and follow the online instructions.
  84.   This program will normally create a group and short cuts
  85.   you can use as examples.

  88. 6. UNINSTALLATION
  89.    --------------

  91.     To uninstall Idyle TrayMinimizer, run the 'Uninstall 
  92.   Idyle TrayMinimizer' item in your start menu. You can also 
  93.   simply delete the directory where you installed Idyle 
  94.   TrayMinimizer.
  95.   Please note that Idyle TrayMinimizer is a very clean
  96.   installation/uninstallation system. No registry bothering,
  97.   no Windows system directory butchering.

  100. 7. SUPPORT
  101.    -------

  103.     Idyle TrayMinimizer is free, but you won't get any support
  104.   for it. If you know of to make a shortcut, then you're all 
  105.   set. If you don't, consult your Windows 95 manual.

  121.      A personal/business contact manager you'll want to take
  122.    a look at. Available in both french and english, it will
  123.    allow you to keep your addresses, phones, internet info
  124.    as well as businesses on one nice user interface. You'll
  125.    also be able to import/export data to/from popular formats
  126.    and print nice booklets to keep with you when away from
  127.    your computer.
